HIGH ARC HIGH RATIO BIG BLOCK CHEVY

............this page is showing our 2:1 ratio, High Arc High Ratio big block Chevy rocker arm.  To achieve a 2:1 ratio, while retaining a high strength rocker body, we moved the needle bearings outboard into the rocker stand (patent-pending feature).  By press fitting the cross shaft into the rocker body, it allows us to position the shaft to get the ratio while leaving a tremendous amount of material on the strap side and in the push rod cup area of the rocker body for high strength.  Since we press fit the cross shaft we utilized a conventional nut and stud arrangement for lash adjustment.  The outboard bearings are pressure fed oil as well as the stirrup tip.  This is one of the rockers used on our initial Sprintron test session.  For the test we used a .500 lobe cam for a net valve lift of 1.00 inch.  We tested to 8800 rpm.

View of rocker assembled onto mock up head, showing rocker stand with caps.  Note thick cross sectional area, with 1.00 inch rocker body stepping down to 5/16th wide nose to accommodate stirrup tip.  This makes the ultimate high strength rocker while maintaining a very light nose weight for better valve spring control.
