Assembly Instructions
High Arc Eccentric Adjustable Big Block Rockers
Bolting stands to head:
Stand with round base is for intake.
Stand with square corner base is for exhaust.
Finger tighten stands to head (if two length stand bolts are
provided, put longer bolt with thicker stand base).
Attach tie bar to stands (stamped letter goes up) using 12 pt.
fasteners.
Finger tighten tie bar bolts.
Torque stand bolts down (60 ft/lbs).
Finish tightening tie bar bolts (25 ft/lbs). Lock Tite tie bar
bolts.
Assembling rockers to stands:
Slide cross shaft into rocker body. Facing the stirrup end of
rocker, the hex goes towards right side. Notice the machined line on
face of hex side. Dot goes above the line.
Set rocker shaft assembly into stand block.
Assemble caps to stand using socket head cap screws. I.D. marks
go towards front.
To adjust valve lash:
Crack loose the cap screws. Rotating the hex on the end of the
cross shaft will adjust valve lash.
Touch stirrup to feeler gauge (sliding the feeler gauge left to
right).
Tighten cap screws. Valve lash tightens up .001 or .002.
Compensate with a thicker feeler gauge and be right on with one
adjustment.
Note: When installing rockers make sure push rod ball is inserted in push rod
cup of rocker body properly. When valve is lashed, spin push rod with finger and
thumb. This is always a good practice.
